I have trained both as a child and adolescent psychotherapist and as an adult psychotherapist.

I trained in Birmingham for 6 years at the Birmingham School of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in order to register for membership with the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP). The training for psychotherapists registered with the ACP is very rigorous and intensive. The ACP is the only accrediting organisation recognised by the NHS for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists. We are accredited to work with children, young people and young adults aged 0-25. I continue to meet the rigorous CPD requirements of the ACP.

I trained at Bristol’s Severnside Institute for Psychotherapy for three years in order to register with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) as an Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist. I am also a member of West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy (WMIP).

As a parent of a 11 year old girl who is having social situation difficulties and other minor issues, I was struggling to deal with myself, I felt the need to seek professional advice. I found Philippa online on a local search in Worcester. Having spent just minutes with Philippa I knew she would connect with my daughter. Thereafter we agreed that my daughter and Philippa to meet up once a week in Philippa’s discreet garden studio. (very relaxed). I never did ask what was talked about because it was quality time between them both but the overwhelming evidence was that my daughter’s confidence just grew and grew and still is. Philippa has also helped me as a parent. Thank you!! (Father of a latency child)

My clinic is based in a large garden office which sits within a pretty cottage garden at the back of 1 Ogilvy Square. I have had the office designed to create a quiet, private and comfortable therapeutic space for adults and children alike. A large room with a comfortable sofa gives a space for adults, adolescents and parents and a smaller space, which is designed to stand up to more mess, allows me to work with children of all ages.

1 Ogilvy Square is in a quiet safe neighbourhood in the suburbs of Worcester city. There is plenty of street parking. I have a small waiting room attached to the property which can be used by parents waiting for younger children and those clients who are making the journey by public transport or taxi.

I am aware that contacting a therapist is a big step so I endeavour to respond as soon as possible and certainly by the next working day.

I am trained and experienced in providing consultation to organisations including schools, children’s centres, children’s homes and adoption social workers. I have a special interest in working with children and adults who have suffered developmental trauma and are or have been in the care system.
